Well, its been in a works for a while, but its official, Porsche is now under the control of VAG.  This dates back a bit when Porsche decided to go out and secretly acquire VW, but the plan backfired when markets changed, loans were called, and now ironically enough, VAG owns Porsche!   I am not sure yet how this will affect the future production of cars.    If all is right with the world, the VW/Audi engineers will leave the Porsche Specialists alone.  Time will tell.
